Peter Bullock, Pedro Sliders, The Good Doctor, Dr
Pedroski, Elvis Presley or just good old Pete... he's something
to everyone!
And this weekend he's something a little bit special
to the Children's Liver Disease Foundation as he embarks on the
London Marathon. Yes, rumour has it, Pete has finally got off his
cross-legged-arse and adorned his old toeless Green Flash. Now,
with his recent extravagances no longer evident around his waist,
we expect nothing over 3 hours on the clock. If you'd like to give
him a push, please visit Pete' s sponsorship page here.

It's hard to believe that, passing through Tonsley's
seventh anniversary, one of its fathers was to become one for real!
Yes, it is with great pride that we are pleased to be able to introduce
Ranulph Joseph Bruce, born at the turn of the year, a true Tonsley
Tott! Congratulations to Niki and Rob. A fine fella for all to see.
(Looks like Rob is already trying to train him up
to assist his daddy's spurious fantasy rugby selections... hmmm,
he doesn't look too interested so far, Rob... I guess we'll still
see James Hook at fly half for a while to come.)

Following an excellent and memorable trip to Poland
(in association with Taily Tours), Eddie I has taken on the 2008
trip which will focus on the First World War site of Verdun via
a re-visit of the Time Team's first stop some seven years ago: the
Somme.
Needless to say, there are various Tonsley tweaks
to the trip, and lest we forget to stop by in Rhiems on the way
down!
There are still a couple of spots free, but time
is ticking...

The observant amongst you will be very familiar
with 'Messing About on the River' - it's been posted as a future
event since 2001! Well, finally, the event launched in August 2007
with the four Tonsley boys taking a four man canoe over 100 miles
back 'home' to Tonsley in London from Woolfy's front door (care
of the flooding, almost literally) on Osney Island in Oxford.
Despite the threats (and promises) of dangerous
fast streams following the floods of just two weeks previous, the
stream was back to normal flow and some paddling was required. Truth
be told, it was less 'Messing About' and more 'Bloody Hard Work'.
As ever, Past Events tells the story.

The third annual game for the Tonsley Events Challlenge
Shield went ahead despite the predicted thunderstorms! It saw a
rematch with the Tonsley Tornados XI, competing once more for the
coveted "Tonsley Events Cricket Challenge Shield". Oh,
and a "bowl-off" ending in sudden death!
It was another fantastic day for cricketers and
spectators alike and an excellent prelude to the summer tour in
August.
Of course, there's more to in the Past
Events section.

Tonsley Totty section.
If you would like to join the world's finest and
help us in our quest for world domination simply visit the page

fast becoming famous Tonsley Totty (Best Served Thrilled!) T-shirt.

In the early days, we staged the possiblilty of
a online shop at Tonsley Events as another unlikely idea. Like many
before it though, this one's now reality and, yes, we really do
now have a shop! It's worth re-iterating though: Tonsley Events
is a not-for-profit organisation / a ridiculous past-time... we
all have paying day jobs! And you can rest assured, this shop uses
the same techonology as the biggest companies on the internet. All
transactions are handled over secure servers - ie. totally safe.
The ski kit is the first up - skiers, please order
pronto to make the deadline!

After
a few years floating on this site with promise of great things to
come, the Kit Bag has finally kicked off with a blinder!
We
are pleased to announce that we have secured a truly fantastic deal
for all our visitors to enjoy... a 'corporate partnership' with
T M Lewin, Jermyn Street's finest shirtmaker!
It's
very simple... visit the Kit Bag,
download the voucher, print it and take it to any Lewin store for
a 60% discount - even better than their sale prices!
