Eagle Radio - 2 March 2011
 

Ben and Rob made their radio debuts this evening with a pre-recorded interview at Eagle Radio – the local Guildford radio station. Elisabeth the kind DJ / interviewer went easy on the questioning and the boys enjoyed a brief 5 minutes behind the mic. The interview is due to hit the airwaves over the weekends of 19/20 and 26/27 March and will be repeated during the week the boys are racing in the desert from the 1st April. Once available we will have a copy of the interview here online.

Now building quite a local media profile, Ben and Rob were invited to be interviewed on BBC Surrey Radio with Nick XX. As we entered the studio we were instructed to don the headphones and sit in front of the mics. Quite simple instructions really, but only if indeed there were the required number of headphones and mics. Ben’s chair didn’t seem to have any headphones and he looked very left out, like a child at a party who missed out on the cake.

Headphone-less Ben answered the questions well none the less. Having heard of Rob and Ben’s growing media profile, Jim eagerly listened into the interview from Dubai and could only comment: “Rob did you take a posh pill before going”
